open to beginning level students that play string instruments. Curriculum focuses on improving students’ technical facilities and musical knowledge. Students will be exposed to string orchestra literature, learn orchestra rehearsal techniques and etiquette, and learn musical terms and basic theory. Students will also learn about the role of the conductor and how to follow the conductor. Through their experience of playing in the string ensemble, students will have prepared for future membership in the premier orchestra.
