Audition tips for the prospective students:

Posture and bow holding should reflect an approach to the instrument that will allow consistent technical progress and result in accurate intonation

Playing a solo that is too difficult will generally lower an audition score
-
Solos should be performed without accompaniment
-
Sight reading will be selected by the judge(s) at the audition

TRI VALLEY YOUTH CHOIR (TVYC)
led by Choir Conductor Hyungbin Lim. TVYC is open to students in grades 6 and 12 with unchanged voices and performs music in two to four-part harmony. The repertoire is chosen on its musical merit while exposing students to a variety of genres. Rehearsals emphasize proper vocal production and technique, as well as the development of the musical ear.
Grades: 4th - 12th
(beginning and intermediate group)
Concerts: 2 each season
TRI VALLEY CHILDREN’S CHOIR (TVCC)
a vocal ensemble comprised of students in grades 1-6. Rehearsals focus on healthy vocal production and technique, solfège, sight-singing, and musicianship skills while exploring quality choral literature, authentic singing games, and creative activities. TVCC performs in unison to 2-part treble repertoire. TVCC is open to students with unchanged voices.
Grades: 1-6
(beginning group)
Concerts: 2 each season
